Welcome to Work of A.R.T. Coaching!

Our mission is to help women build unshakable self worth by improving their relationships with food, movement, and their bodies through joyful movement, mindful eating, and habitual self care.

Coaching women to develop a self-care lifestyle. Includes: prioritizing your health with a positive and body neutral mindset, habit and routine building with accountability, making nutritional changes and incorporating joyful movement by learning to listen to, understand, and communicate with your body.

Mindful
Eating

Mindful eating means that what, when, and how much you eat is decided mindfully based on your preferences, your budget, your bodyā€™s natural signals, and what is available to you. Mindful eating means breaking free from diet culture and embracing food freedom. Work of A.R.T. Coaching believes that Mindful Eating is the key to building a stronger and more fulfilling relationship with food.

Joyful
Movement

Joyful Movement is exactly what it sounds like! It means both moving your body in ways that bring you joy, and finding joy in the simple fact that your body can move. Any and all physical activity can be joyful movement; from walking your dog and playing with your kids, to playing a rec sport, or going to the gym, itā€™s whatever works for you! Work of A.R.T. believes that movement is a celebration of what your body can do and not a punishment for your body or for what you ate and that this truth can rebuild your relationship with movement and exercise.

Habitual
Self Care

Habitual Self Care means making taking care of yourself and your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs a priority by creating habits and routines that actually fit your life. It is the practice of habitually putting yourself first. This looks different for everyone because we all have our own unique needs, responsibilities, and lives. It may include, but is by no means limited to, joyful movement, mindful eating, meditation, journaling, creating and enforcing boundaries, self talk and affirmations, spending time with friends and loved ones, and more! Habitual self care is the best way to build a better relationship with yourself.

Happy Client

For as long as I can remember I looked for a better version of myself which always involved manipulation of my mind and body.   If only I was thinner, didnā€™t have a muffin top or saggy arms or a double chin, then and only then would I be happy.  All my fears, sadness and anxiety would magically disappear.  I would conquer the world.  The sky is the limit.

ā€‹

That was until I was lucky enough to be chosen as a participant in Work of Artā€™s 8 week program.  I may not be ready to conquer the world, but I do see the sun shining above the clouds.  I am learning to love my body, not for its shape (not yet anyway) but for the miracle of it.  I continue to work on appreciating all that it does and honoring it.  I am learning to reward it with healthy choices and exercise vs. treating exercise and better food choices as a punishment.

ā€‹

The work I put in with the help of Andrea has really been life changing.  I needed to have a better relationship with my body before I could move forward with a nutrition or work out plan.  My gym memberships and personal trainers were an emotional ruse.  I needed to nourish my mind before I could fully nourish my body.

I am now on a beautiful journey of self-discovery.  Learning to love myself, flaws and all.  I now set time aside for myself to journal and meditate.  I have set goals and am able to follow through, because now I feel I am worth my own time.
